Hey I had a email of a guy who has done go fund me before and he rewrote the description to make it sound a bit more professional if you wanted to change it: Someone had found Donavan's gofundme and reached out to him. They promised that he would get his wheelchair assist van fixed along with offering him an E-sports commentary job with regular income and support for his medical costs; these were just a few of many promises. The person in question claimed to be a CEO of an E-sports franchise and went so far as to send contracts and even call Donavan's family explaining the situation. Sadly, this was nothing more than a callous act of deceit: the person was a scammer. He raised up Donavan's hopes and then dropped him down, how a person could do this is unbelievable. Donavan has dealt with spinal muscular atrophy type 2 and has been wheelchair-bound since the age of 5. He has a very weak respiratory immune system and as a result spent his entire Christmas in the hospital coughing up blood. According to his insurance company, however, this isn't a valid reason to be in hospital. To make matters worse, Donavan's mobility car with a lift for his wheelchair is unusable meaning that he cannot even leave the house to do anything: no shopping; no eating out; many things we all take for granted. He is barely able to support himself with his social security cheque and battling with his health daily on top of this has become a loop of misery. Further to this, Donavan's insurance company are rubbing salt into the wounds and he is completely out of options. Donavan is the nicest person you could ever meet, he always puts others first and asks for nothing in return; even in his lowest points he is always trying to keep the spirit of others high. He is the most deserving of people to receive any help and that is why this gofundme was created. For someone who is so willing to give to others he should not have to be at the point where he cannot even leave his own home. No one should ever be in a situation where they have so little money and no way of earning that they have to choose between medicating themselves to survive, buying food, getting their only method of transport operational or paying their bills. It is so unfortunate that in the 21st century people are still treated in this way and cast off by the system. Most people can get themselves a job or earn income in one way or another but this is just not viable for Donavan. How he manages to keep a smile on his face and warmth in his heart in spite of his situation is admirable. All of his friends in real life and on social media will agree that he is a truly selfless person; a caring, pure-hearted guy who continues to inspire all those around him with his sheer determination and iron will. I have created this gofundme because Donavan deserves to enjoy life the same as everyone else and that he should not be confined to a poor quality of life because he is trapped in the cycle.
