Donnie Fritts Facing Life without a mask
Donation protected
Donnie Fritts, my husband.
I want him to suffer less, to feel better about himself and to enjoy life more.
He is taking antibiotics for a serious sinus infection, at this time.
(The amount shown collected in this campaign is NOT the amount in the account. 3 surgery/reconstruction procedures have taken place since this fund opened.
We appreciate all who have helped!!
The funds need to be raised quickly to pay doctor expenses for the recent trip.
The bar that hold the face together BROKE. The pain is very hard to endure.
The acrylic shields that hold the face together have broken... the upper palate has not been working correctly for a few months. Donnie's whole 'face' is not working properly.
Please help by donating and sharing this link.
THE PAIN IS UNIMAGINABLE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
The facial bar was repaired a few months ago but isn't working properly.
YOUR HELP IS DEEPLY APPRECIATED

Long time warrior, after being attacked by a rare facial cancer, Ameloblastic Carcinoma, Donnie Fritts.
Donnie lost his forehead bone, part of his frontal lobe, complete center face including his nose, upper palate, sinus walls, bones, tissue and muscle and his top lip, to this cancer.
His face rejected his own bone after a surgery to replace bone in between his eyes with the bone from the top of his head.
His body rejected several of the dental implants that were embedded into his man-made forehead.
He is not a candidate for a face transplant due to the fact that he has high risk for infection and that his face has rejected several attempts at reconstruction.
He wants to look normal and feel good!
We have been working very hard to try to make Donnie's dream a reality.
Due to the effects of radiation, Donnie's remaining teeth are deteriorating. Thankfully, his bottom jaw is still strong.
Such emotional pain he recently suffered when he received the news that he would, no doubt, lose his bottom teeth because of radiation.
Donnie suffers tremendous pain due to the facial neuropathy caused by the 40+ surgeries and procedures that were necessary to allow him to have a forehead, a working upper palate and a functional prosthetic face.
He had to "chew" with his fingers for several years because he had no upper palate. That caused him to have a lot of pain in his right wrist and arm. He was diagnosed with calcium deposits, tendonitis and bursitis. All very painful conditions. All due to the effects of cancer.
Please consider a donation to this 501c3 campaign.
We cannot get him repaired without your help.
Medicaid and Medicare considers these surgeries and procedures "cosmetic" and "elective." Medically Unnecessary.
Without a functioning upper palate, Donnie is unable to chew, swallow and speak clearly.

THIS FUNDRAISER SHOWS MORE RAISED THAN IS ACTUALLY IN THE ACCOUNT!!!
THIS MONEY HAS BEEN USED FOR 3 SEPARATE TRIPS, TWO WERE EMERGENCY TRIPS, ONE DURING A HOLIDAY AND ANOTHER BECAUSE DONNIE NEEDED EMERGENCY CARE.![](https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/30806410_1552736337904639_r.jpeg)
![](https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/30806410_1552736400435799_r.jpeg)
AT THIS TIME, THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TO PAY FOR A MUCH NEEDED NEW TRIP.
New CT scans show Acute and chronic sinusitis and lots of skeletonized bone. A CT scan is hard to read with all of the metal in Donnie's head.
The bone putty that holds a metal bar in his head acts as Donnie's forehead. That bone putty usually lasts for approximately 7 years. It was put in in 2005.
