Many of you know my parents personally, they have touched your life in some form or fashion over the last 30 years.  They have been missionaries and on the missionfield in Guatemala for the past 28 years.  They have given  more of themselves than any of us will in our lifetime and they have done it all for God's glory.  They have loved!  SOOOO many can attest to my parents stepping in at a crucial time in their life and I can attest that my parents have helped so many, countless times, totally anonymous.  They are givers in every way.   Any of you that know them personally, already know this.

They are now in a position where they need all of our help.  Mom began experiencing some health issues back in May.  Not feeling well and dealing with vertigo.  It progressed to the point where she could no longer ignore it and she had to go in to see the doctor.  Doctor Pablo at the hospital in Guatemala was concerned and ordered several tests.  We are so thankful that he did.  They discovered that she was experiencing complications from a intercellular arachnoidocele on her pituitary gland (in the brain).   This cell is filled with fluid and is flattening her pituitary like a pancake.  The doctor there recommended that she come to the United States and get treatment here.  Since being here in the U.S. they have found a cyst on her pineal gland (also in the brain).   Her symptoms have progressed since leaving Guatemala.  It seems that every few days a new neurological symptom is rearing it's ugly head.   To name a few ,she is experiencing numbness on the right side of her body, her right eye drooping, vertigo and headaches, her eyeballs are twitching, like the tick tock on a clock, her head shakes at times (almost like Parkinsons) .  Mom has no gag reflex and is having difficulty eating.  Reflexes on her right side are affected.  Mom is exhausted and has already been through so many tests.  We have been told that her current symptoms are just that symptoms of a bigger problem that doctors have not unraveled yet.  We now find ourselves waiting to hear back from the Cleveland Clinic for financial approval for a much needed test that will be sent out to the Mayo Clinic.  Mom and Dad do not have a traditional insurance plan and participate in a shared health program and are considered self pay.  One test alone we are looking at is 10k.  We need answers and we need this test done.  Dad is currently in Guatemala and I have come up from Texas to be with mom.  Travel expenses, unexpected living expenses, test/medical expenses are all adding up and we are feeling overwhelmed and we still do not have the answers we need.
Any assistance you can offer would be a blessing.  We love you all and are asking for prayers above all else.
