Dorset Sabs - Hunt Surveillance
Donation protected
After the tragic loss of life during the last meet of the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt we urgently need to improve our capacity to collect visual evidence of illegal hunting, and with the badger cull extended, we need to improve our capacity to protect at-risk setts. With better equipment we can not only deter hunts from killing, but provide better evidence when they do succeed in savaging wildlife. Unfortunately good equipment is very expensive.
We also need to deter violence against our Sabs by video-recording all of our interactions with hunts and their supporters.
In the last month alone we have suffered violent assaults and criminal damage to our vehicle.
We need two LESHP, motion acitvated infrared cameras (trail cams) at £90 each (Sett protection) and four Conbrov mini spy, waterproof bodycams at £40 each.
With more sabs joining us all the time we need more good quality bodycams and camcorders to achieve these goals. With better equipment we can deter hunts from killing, and provide better evidence to the police when we suffer assaults.
We also need covert 'trail-cams' to protect at risk badger setts. Yet again the government has declared that it is planning to extend the pointless slaughter of badgers.
Unfortunately none of this equipment is cheap. We need your help to expand our capacity to challenge wildlife crime.
Every penny we raise saves lives, and no donation is too small
Love and solidarity
