Showers for the people experiencing homelessness

There are more than 300 people who stay in Hayward, CA that live on the streets, sleep in their cars or maybe couch surf, that don’t have the chance to take a shower on a daily basis. Going without showers  limits their ability to secure employment or seek social assistance, affects their interaction with society and their  health. For those who live on the streets in Downtown Hayward, they must travel to surrounding communities seeking an opportunity to shower once a week at a church in those cities.  Currently, there are none in the Downtown Hayward area. 

We, here at All Saints Catholic Church, Hayward, CA have formed a new ministry in collaboration with New Life Christian Church, Hayward, CA and concerned community members to provide shower service once a week to the homeless and to those in need.  We are asking you for a contribution of $10, $20 or more dollars to support this worthy cause.  Please help us bring respect and dignity to the less fortunate members of our community. 
 
100% of the funds raised will be used to complete modifications to the shower stalls and sustain this project in paying for the water, electric and gas bills. The New Life Christian facility is rent-free and we are all non-paid volunteers.
