Dream Sonology Course Fee
Donation protected
Hi!
My name is Zosia Hołubowska. I am a Vienna-based non-binary sound artist, musician, and queer activist. I perform solo as Mala Herba (a curvy synth witch) and run a flying queer synthesizer laboratory Sounds Queer? where I organize workshops about synths, cheap, queer and unexpected sounds.
This year in February I turned 30 and got admitted to a dream course at the Royal Conservatory in Den Hague. I have an opportunity to take a year-long program in Sonology, experimental approach to electronic and computer music. I feel it's a very important moment in my life, but I need a bit of extra help to take this step. And you can treat any donation as a birthday gift;-)
Only recently I truly decided to follow my dreams and pursue an artistic career. I am sure many of us experience similar self-doubts. I have always wanted to study synthesizers and sound art but never thought I am good enough to apply to such a prestigious and established and had the Sonology Institute tab opened in my browser for over two years. Finally, I risked it and got admitted. I cannot express enough what it means to me and how badly I want to go to the Netherlands, learn new things and touch all the buttons at the synth laboratories.
In order to do so, I need to raise 2000 euro fee. I need to collect them pretty soon so I can start studying in September 2018.
After two semesters I will hopefully be able to create even weirder queer sounds and invite you to more installations and performances. I really want to keep on learning and sharing my knowledge!
