Hi, I'm Chris Upton. I'm a third-generation locksmith with a deep passion for my profession. I've been in the industry for 14 years. My journey began in my dad's shop with my grandpa during summer vacations from school when I was 13 years old.

I loved riding in the vans and learning the trade, which inspired me to continue the family legacy. Now, I'm on a mission to revolutionize locksmith education with LockLore Learning.

The Problem

When I started working on my own at 18, it took me two years to become fully proficient at what we do, and that was with two generations worth of experience teaching me.

Traditional locksmith training is lengthy and boring, or it's on a who-you-know basis; trainees and veteran locksmiths often struggle to recall rarely used skills.

Many locksmiths face situations where they need quick access to information but lack the resources. Now, they have to call somebody or dig through their photos until they find it.

I think we can all agree that current training methods don't align with the fast-paced demands of today's world.

LockLore Learning aims to fix this.

Your Solution

I want to reduce training time to six months or less. Our platform will offer comprehensive, easily accessible resources.

I'll provide educational materials with real-life stories, making learning engaging and practical.

One unique project I am working on is a book connecting locksmithing with the Las Vegas entertainment known as Mentalism.

This book will equip locksmiths with new psychological tools never before connected to our profession and will be published by the end of December 2024.

This book is filled with real stories from experience and techniques my team and I have repeatedly field-tested to ensure their effectiveness. We promise we don't want to waste your time; we know how valuable it can be.

Our goal is for our students to achieve faster training times, a better, wider understanding of their job, and the ability to handle difficult situations effectively.

We are asking for $5,000 to kickstart LockLore Learning. The funds will be allocated as follows:

Each component of our program will be a complete guide to becoming a locksmith, focusing on practical skills and understanding human intentions.

Our resources aim to improve detective and people skills and share industry secrets. We also aim to provide seasoned pros with a guide for quick refreshers.

My 13 years of experience have shaped the locksmith I am today. I have called many locksmiths across the USA who have expressed a desire for more easily accessible training resources.
