Dunwoody High Athletic Lighting
Spende geschützt
Because of funds raised through our Game On! Capital Campaign we have been able to significantly improve our outdoor facilities. However, we have fallen short on funds for our next scheduled project which is:
State of the art, neighborhood friendly , LED lights for the multi-purpose field
We have raised 75% of the money but still need to raise $80,000 and only have until September 5th to do so....otherwise we have to start the lengthy bidding process all over!
PLEASE help us by supporting this cause. Lights will increase the amount of time we can use the field therefore allowing our outdoor sports teams and the band to stay home at Dunwoody for practice. Plus, no team has to traipse all over town using alternate practice locations. This will directly help our teams be more competitive in our region and keeps our students on campus for practices and perhaps a few games.
For example, in the spring we have soccer teams and lacrosse teams that all need to practice. There are 4 soccer and 4 LAX teams (JV boys/girls + Varsity boys/girls for each sport). All are vying for field space on one field. School dismisses at 3:15 and it gets dark as early as 5:30 which isn't enough daylight to provide 8 teams with ample practice time. Therefore each team has to use alternate practice locations away from the school each week.
Neighborhood friendly LED lights could extend our practice time without bothering the neighbors therefore helping our teams to stay competitive and keeping our students at home on the Dunwoody High Campus!
