Eagle Mine Bantam B hockey team out of Marquette, MI will be heading to the state hockey tournament in Fraser, MI March 3-5th for a quest to become state champions! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we set up this campaign for the team to help defray travel costs to head downstate. This team has worked extremely hard to get to this state tournament. Eagle Mine team record: 30-7-3
Last weekend the team took part in District 8 tournament. They lost their first game 2-0 vs Negaunee, the team needed to win the rest of their games to move on to the state tournament. On Saturday, Eagle Mine defeated Calumet 5-3, Sunday morning they defeated Escanaba in the semifinals, and ended up beating Negaunee in the Championship game 4-3 to advance to states. In addition, they won the holiday tournament in Marquette MI in December, and took 2nd in the Cabin Fever tournament in the Sault in January.
