Eagle Scout Ron Cain- Medical Costs

Donation protected
Ron Cain earned his Eagle Scout award in 2017 having earned all 137 Merit Badges that are currently offered by the Boy Scouts of America.  That is a rare feat achieved by very few Eagle Scouts.  Shortly after earning the Eagle Rank, Ron was diagnosed  with Testicular Cancer.  His treatment has included multiple surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy.   Throughtout this entire ordeal Ron has maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life.  He has continued in leadership roles with the Scouts including being the Order of the Arrow Lodge Chief for the Uh-To-Yeh-Hut-Tee Lodge of the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council.  Today he is cancer free and now he wishes to educate the public on the importance of early diagnosis and testing for cancer for people of all ages.  His dad, David Cain is the camp ranger at Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation in Polk County.

Although Ron is cancer free the cost of his medical treatment was much more than his family's insurance would cover.  The total cost of uncovered expenses to date exceeds $25,000.  Ron’s parents are a great Scouting family that have devoted their energy to serving others but do not have the financial resources to pay this excessive debt.

Your support will make a big difference for the Cain family.

Please consider making a gift to a great Scouting family.
