Earthquake in Ecuador
Donation protected
On April 16,2016 , 19:00 local time, Ecuador suffered an Earthquake of 7.8 degrees, affecting the coastal cities of Ecuador. Many houses were destroyed, 646 deaths, 130 people missing and 12,492 people hurt hurt and still counting.
Our relief donations will help us increase our capacity to offer emergency relief items to families who have lost their loved ones and their homes. Your donations will be used to purchase and deliver first need items such as:
- Blankets;
- Drinking water;
- Canned foods:
- First aid medicine
- Mattresses, and
- Clean clothes.

50% of the funds will go to Corporación la Favorita that is working with the UN emergency team
With the money given to this organization they will:
Buy tents and build shelters in the cities affected
The other 25% will go to buy generators, tents and shelter that will go to the Ecuadorian Government emergency envoy that will deliver general help such as:
-Medicine
- Tents
-Personal kits
-Shelter
-Food
and the other 25% will go to direct help to Canoa, to restore the city and buy them:
-Medicine
-Tents
-Personal Kits
-Shelter
-Food
The way we are going to give them the money is directly through bank accounts with the percentage stated above.
Besides the doantions receiven here, at Academia Cotopaxi we are also recieving donations from, our community that will be later taken over to the different cities affect by the earthquake.
