A little bit about Carl
When it comes to meeting life head on, Carl Eaton never backs down.
Born with Spina Bifida - meaning he is confined to a wheelchair - he is nothing short of a hero in his home town of Skelmersdale.
Winner of both the Queen's Award for Voluntary Groups and the BBC sports Personality of the year award, the 26-mile route will challenge him to his absolute limits

What will the money be used for?
In 2009 Carl set up the Skem Men-Aces Football Club specifically for adults with a learning disability.
Since then the team has grown from 5 players using jumpers as goal posts to a club that is now over 50 strong and who have won just about everything in the game.
The highest honour of all being a Silver Medal the club won at the 2013 Special Olympics.
In Carl's own words
'I am constantly inspired by these guys every week and at every game. They're levels of good humour, non-stop banter and sportsmanship should be shown to a few professional teams. It makes me so sad that with a limited income, based around a few benefits, most of these lads have never enjoyed a decent holiday.
I want to change all that.
I have set myself a HUGE target but with your help I know I can achieve it and help to fund a holiday of a lifetime for all the players at the club by taking them all to one of the best adventure parks in the country for a week of non-stop, full on FUN!!
Please support me with whatever donation you can and also please give me a share on Facebook or Twitter.
I would very much appreciate it.
I will post regular updates of my training over the next few months
To be totally honest with you, since having a leg removed Several years ago and having Spina Bifida that likes to give me constant reminders of my limitations and they are always very painful reminders. But, if others can conquer the 26-mile course with similar or even more challenging conditions, then I know I need to try to rise to this challenge.
I am constantly in some degree of pain or discomfort so I truly do not know if I can complete this but I am so determined to give it my all.
Give what you can, send me a message, follow me on Facebook and share this with all your friends.
My lovely wife Mim will be running the course with me so please send her some love as well.
That's it.
It's that simple.
A holiday of a lifetime for a group of amazing young people is my goal. Please help me to make it happen.
Thank you so much
Best Wishes and thank you for reading
