Emerald City Black Pride 2016
Donation protected
On behalf of the Center for MultiCultural Health (CMCH) in Seattle we would like to invite you to help us fund two Emerald City Black Pride events occurring
on July 30th and July 31st 2016.
CMCH is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of diverse communities. In line with this mission, CMCH is committed to fostering a sense of pride for LGBTQ people of color through health advocacy, health promotion and education.
Since 2011, CMCH has hosted Emerald City Black Pride (ECBP), an initiative to foster pride and strengthen the sense of community among LGBTQ people of color. It is a reflection and celebration of our diversity, voice and values of our community.
This year the funding we usually get to put on ECBP was discontinued but we are not letting that stop us from putting together two amazing events this July!
Please donate and support our goal to:
- Create a safe space that celebrates LGBTQ people of color
- To create and affirm the Black LGBTQ community
- To promote healthy sexual activity amongst Black LGBTQ to reduce the incidence of infection in our community.
We have two events planned for this amazing weekend!
- Emerald City Black Pride Party hosted by the Northwest African American Museum
- ECBP Family Reunion BBQ at Alvin Larkins Park
All proceeds from these donations will be used for general operation and development expenses needed to support Emerald City Black Pride productions and make a series of events to celebrate African-American queer culture and support HIV education, testing and adherence.
Thank you so much for your support!
More information about our events can be found on our Emerald City Black Pride Facebook Page!
