East Carolina University’s chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) is a student-led professional organization that is focused on educating students about marketing and skills essential to their success in the workplace. Our organization provides opportunities that are not offered in a typical classroom setting to self-motivated students. At East Carolina University, AMA students go above and beyond to set themselves apart from their peers.
Throughout the year, dedicated students have invested their time in our organization by attending general meetings, participating in professional development and networking events, serving on our executive board, taking part in international competitions, and giving back to the Greenville area through community service. Students have raised funds for our organization by holding fundraisers around campus and partnering with local businesses to host benefit nights. In addition, members have been networking with local businesses to gain sponsorships.
Once a year, the American Marketing Association hosts its International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. By attending, members are given the opportunity to participate in workshops and competitions, learn from and network with marketing professionals, and connect with other AMA chapters from around the world. While we have diligently participated in fundraising efforts throughout the year, the funds we have generated will not cover all costs to send our devoted members to the international conference.
We need your help to make an investment in us, so that we can send all of our top members to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity. By donating to our organization, you are not only helping to develop our students’ professional skills, but also ensure they are ready to enter the workforce and make a difference worldwide!
