Having won Vermont's state-wide We the People competition, our team of 14 young men and women is fundraising to help defray the costs of traveling to Washington, D.C. for the national We the People competition. We the People was started in 1987, celebrating the 200th anniversary of our nation's Constitution. Students participate in mock congressional hearings in which they present themselves as Constitutional scholars and answer questions before a panel of judges, usually Consitutional experts themselves, relating to varying historical and contemporary Constitutional themes.
