Emergency Harvey Relief

Donation protected
The flooding in the Greater Houston area is more devastating than could have ever been projected or imagined. My family was forced to evacuate on Sunday morning from the Tomball/Woodlands area as the creek in our neighborhood broke over the banks and flooded the streets and homes. Luckily for us, we were able to get out and make it up to Dallas where we have friends that are allowing us to house sit for them while we wait for flood waters to recede so we can go back and evaluate our own damage. Others were not so lucky. We have one coworker that is trapped in the 2nd story of her home with the bottom floor flooded, and other friends that were evacuated by air to higher ground and their homes are total losses.

And, even if homes were not lost, services have been cut off and supplies like basic drinking water, and food, are not available in the area.

Since we are fortunate enough to be in Dallas, safe, and with access to supplies, we are renting a truck and taking basic supplies, water, food, clothing, fans to help dry homes, down to those in need in Houston.

Please give, if you have the means, to allow us to reach as many as possible with this effort. We will be loading up and heading out on Thursday evening/Friday morning, with the first load and will make regular trips back and forth until funds run out or everyone that we can reach has been helped. We can only do so much oursleves, but when everyone pitches in, the power of community can be incredible and far reaching! Every dollar helps!
