Emer's Medical Help

Hello.  My name is Emer Prevost, and I need a little bit of help.

About a month ago, I was sent to the hospital with a bad leg infection.  I was in the hospital for five days, during which time they cut a chunk of infected flesh from the back of my calf.  Since then, I have had to wear a wound vac device, and I am waiting for it to heal.

Since my hospital visit, I have been unable to return to work.  My employer denied my short-term disability claim, so I have literally no money coming in at this time. 

Today (11/18/16), during my regular appointment at the hospital to have the dressing on the wound vac changed and to check the progress of the wound, they informed me that I will need the device for about another month.  So, I cannot return to work until then.

I have gone through most of my savings covering expenses and bills, and now I need help.

While insurance is covering most of my medical bills, I need help covering day-to-day expenses and my other bills.  The $800 I am asking for may not cover it all, but it will certainly help.  Any extra beyond that would help greatly.

This entire ordeal has stressed me out to no end.  I have been worried about my leg.  I have worried about when I can return to work.  I have worried about keeping my bills paid.  All of this is one of the contributing reasons why I can barely sleep.
