Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of their background, has access to the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age. At "Tech Access Group" (TAG for short!), we’re on a mission to make that a reality.
TAG is dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing affordable internet devices, digital literacy programs, and essential e-cycling services. Through upcycled technology and education partnerships, we empower individuals to stay connected, gain new skills, and unlock opportunities for growth. But we need your help to get started.
The Problems: Every year, 6.9 million tons of e-waste is produced in America alone. Of that, just 12.5% is formally recycled, pushing 6.3 million tons of cell phones, computers, monitors, TVs, cables, and more directly into landfills! That's over 40 million devices, yet 4.4 million Americans say they have little or no access to the internet or internet-enabled devices due to affordability or skills access. We have a solution.
Why We Need Your Support: Starting TAG requires an initial investment of $25,000. This funding will secure a small business loan essential for:
- Setting up our refurbishing facility to transform donated devices into reliable tools.
- Launching workforce development programs that provide on-the-job training in digital skills and hardware repairs.
- Building our eCommerce platform to offer affordable tech to those who need it most.
- Developing partnerships with schools, offices, and community organizations for sustainable device sourcing.
- Diverting thousands of pounds of e-waste from landfills every year

Funding Goals:
LLC Registration: $250 (gives us our EIN for taxes, UEI for grants and non-profit partnerships, and sets up path to hire staff)
Monthly Rent: $3500/month (gives us a place to store our donations, refurbish devices, host courses for the public, and distribute our free computers)
