Empower Youth Entrepreneurs in Nepal
Donation protected
Your donation is needed to launch the Empower Social Entrepreneurship initiative to accelerate the ability of Nepali youth to start a business for local impact. The pilot project in Nepal is critical since it will be the key to scaling an initiative for economic empowerment to youth in 20 of the poorest countries in the world.
I’ve volunteered for Nepal Orphans Home and local non-profit organizations since 2015 where I’ve witnessed the need for youth to access education and training in order to break the cycle of poverty. Nepal has struggled with natural disasters, lack of infrastructure, limited education access and economic hardship for young women and men. Despite these challenges, the Nepali youth have shown great optimism and ambition for the social entrepreneurship pilot project which can enable them to create their own business for social impact and economic growth in their communities.
Your financial contribution and donation to this crowdfunding campaign will help us ensure the official launch of the pilot training program from May 13-23, 2019. While we have been able to raise money for supplies, equipment and meals for the 40 participants in the pilot program, we still do not have sufficient funding to ensure facilitation support, transportation, and stipends for the youth participants. We need to ensure their completion of the two week intensive training program delivered by two facilitators, in addition to a six month incubation period for the qualified start-up teams. Our participants include youth from impoverished communities and orphan homes as well as business school students who will serve as mentors.
The students are eager to launch sustainable business ideas for contributing to Nepal’s economic development and the entrepreneurial power of young women and men. Your donation can help ensure their success and the start of a large scale initiative for empowering local youth through social entrepreneurship. Since we need to launch the pilot project on May 13, we ask for your help and donations. Dhanyabad for your support and empowerment of Nepali youth!
