Equitable Literacy
Donation protected
I am teaching reading intervention strategies in a Title 1 school and my new classroom does not have resources to provide equitable instruction. Currently there is a homemade dry erase board and two chalkboards in the classroom. It is my hope to install magnetic dry erase boards for my struggling readers so they can manipulate written language. Also, I would like to purchase books that represent the different cultures in our school. These materials will help unlock written language in a way that is meaningful, engaging and includes rigor for my struggling readers.
