Escuela Tortuga Athletic Kids

This is a big deal for the young kids of Escuela Tortuga in Ojochal. They have made it through all the levels of competition to qualify to compete for the National Championship in June. Putting it into perspective, we are a rural community and our little school has just over 100 students in grades 1-6. So far they have showed the competition what Ojochal kids are made of. We have calculated that the cost to go to the National Championship is $2,500 (bus, hotel, food, team uniforms for the much cooler temperatures in the San Jose area & other incidentals). This may sound like a small amount to some but it is the equivalent of an annual income for many of the parents of the amazing kids who have given it their all to make it this far. We are looking for sponsors to help with the cost. If you are not in Costa Rica and want to contribute, message me & I have a way to make it happen. If you can help, our promise to you is that the Athletic Kids of Ojochal will "do you proud" in this competition.
