Panda European Crowdsurfing Tour

So you may be wondering, why does this person wear a panda suit and crowdsurf and why should I support this odd behavior? Well it all started off as an episode of Jackass where they ran through the mall in panda suits. My buddy and I wanted to get them and start making funny videos up in San Francisco. That never happened. Then I moved to San Diego and didn't have any friends. So I decided I would make friends by dressing up as a panda and showing up at parties and it worked.

Then I got an internship at 91X when I was 19 and the promo team thought the panda thing was pretty weird and funny. They were doing an interview with Wayne from The Flaming Lips -- one of my heroes and they told me to bring the panda suit. He was late and the interview never happened but the manager saw the panda and asked me if I wanted to dance on stage with them. They pulled me up in front of 20,000 people over at the Del Mar Fargrounds in my little panda suit and my heart exploded! This is what it feels like to be a rock star, but I don't have any talent or can't play any instruments, but I also don't mind getting real sweaty.

From that moment I knew being a panda lead to magical experiences. Then I started crowdsurfing in the suit and OMG it's the best thing imaginable. Like wearing a sleeping bag floating on top of a crowd listening to your favorite bands and the energy is intoxicating.

Fast forward to 2017 -- I've been panda-ing around for 9 years now and have got to be part of the Desert Daze (best festival ever) team as a panda and now planning a mini panda crowdsurfing tour through Europe.

So far here's my plan:

8/31: Thee Oh Sees - Teragram Ballroom, Los Angeles, CA

9/7 - 9/9: D-Code Fest w/ La Femme, Interpol, Liam Gallagher in Madrid, Spain

9/16: L.A Witch - Paris, France

9/19: The Black Angels - Brussels, Belgium

9/21: Liverpool International Psych Fest

9/27: The Rolling Stones - Barcelona, Spain (maybe if they allow pandas)
