I am the daughter of Frans best friend of 30 years and my daughter and her grand daughter/adopted daughter Molly Wilson are best friends for 25 years . This is my description of Francine Hughes Wilson to the best of my ability.
Francine (Hughes) Wilson is an Iconic Character who in history changed the Laws in Michigan and in turn all over the country for battered women and the rights that defend them. The Movie Starring Farrah Faucett The Burning Bed was about the horrific struggles that she endured as a battered woman that left her in such mental distress and fear that she by temporary insanity was forced to take the life of her abusive husband. Some time After her incarceration and verdict of not guilty by reason of temporary insanity she met a Man, fell in love, Got remarried and left Michigan. Trying to put her nightmare behind her They then moved to Tennessee with her New husband Robert Wilson who supported her dream of becoming a nurse which in past times had been thwarted by the husband before. They moved to Alabama in the attempt to build the life they lived together until his death in June of 2015 and since that time her health has been on the decline. Fran succumbed to her health issues yesterday on March 22nd 2017 at approximately 6pm. The family are devastated and are left with the financial burden of funeral expenses for this revolutionary Woman and they need your help to give her funeral that she deserves. This amount is an approximate amount that is going to be needed but we all know that even the most basic of funeral event can be devastating to grieving family and friends when something like this happens. Thank you for reading this description and I pray that your support will take just a little bit off the responsibility shouldered by these terrible times for her children and grandchildren and they need all the help they can get.
All proceeds and donations that exceed the original request for funeral expenses will be donated to Safe place and other organizations that Give Aid to Battered and Abused Women.
