Extrovert Christmas Appeal

Hi, my name is Joanne Stroud.
Every Christmas I collect clothes, food, toys and money to help local people who are genuinely in need. I've helped women who have taken their children out of the family home due to abuse, homeless people, teens who have grown up in the care system and are now in sheltered accommodation, lonely elderly people, plus single parents and families who are in seriously disadvantaged positions. 
Thanks to donations I'm able to buy coal, gas, electric, fresh fruit and veg and a turkey.
These people would not have a Christmas without our help. There's no greater feeling than seeing the relief in a mums eyes when you provide her with the items needed for her to give her children a nice Christmas.
I have today been emailed asking for help for two mums Of teenagers who have just left abusive partners. I know if I can help them, they are less likely to return to the abuser, which many women do when they feel they cannot provide for the children alone.
