Model United Nations team trip to Washington DC
Donation protected
Model United Nations (MUN) at IDEA South Flores College Prep provides the opportunity for all students to learn about international affairs, world events and the United Nations, while also teaching students peace and conflict resolution, effective public speaking, good communication skills, and the importance of diversity, equity, cultural competence and personal identity development. ISF MUN represents the school at local, national, and international MUN conferences.
In February, 13 9th-12th grade students from IDEA South Flores College Prep hope to travel to our nation's capital to attend the North American Invitational Model United Nations (NAIMUN) conference run by Georgetown University. For many of our students, this will be there first time out of the state of Texas, their first time on a plane, and their first time interacting with students their age from other communities. Our students have been working really hard to prepare to represent their school and their community at this conference by researching, writing position papers, and practicing giving speeches.
If you are able, your donations will go towards our meals for the 5 days we are in Washington, DC. Thank you so much for your support!
