'My Dad, My Hero' by Kai Hugh Martin

In July 2018, Sean "Rufty" Martin had some pretty rotten luck. Since then he's stoically endured all manner of medical procedures, a terrifying loss in mobility and function, and a glimmer of hope now that it appears the lump in his brain that was the root of it all has been successfully and completely removed. A miracle in and of itself. But now the future remains uncertain, no one truly able to know what functional redemption is possible and if Rufty's once fit as a fiddle, blonde afro'd, Godly physique will grace the planet again in the almighty manner we all grew so accustomed to seeing.
To celebrate Sean's 40th, illustrator Marty Schneider and I teamed up with his son Kai to tell the story of his dad, his hero. We've tried our best to capture Rufty's Herculean effort in fighting on everyday, and as much as Rufty may struggle to see it right now, the way he's carried himself since July 2018 has been truly, truly inspirational, an epic hero in every sense of the word.
Kai's debut book, "My Dad, My Hero" is available now for $20. Bargain! Don't be shy, buy truckloads!!! And that $20 includes shipping. Not only is Kai a mega storytelling talent, he's able to source quality product cheaper than anyone too! Rufty's thriftiness runs deep in those genes! Bless 'em!
*Please note, unfortunately the book is only available in Australia for the time being. Covid has made global shipping a no go. Apologies, I know Sean has many fans all over the globe.
VERY IMPORTANT POINTS:
1/ I need your address in order to get the books to you. When you donate, I will be notified via email and will contact you to specify the address you would like your books sent to.
2/ Whatever amount of books you want, simply use multiples of $20 to work out the total. Have your abacus handy to help with those calculations! 1 book = $20. 5 books = $100. Woah, woah! Slow down, egg head. You get the drill.
3/ If you don't require a book, but want simply to donate to Rufty, please enter whatever amount you like and there's obviously no need to input your address. There's no upper limit to your generosity, go berserk!
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY:
If you would like to read the digital version of the book, you can check it out here:

Thanks again to everyone. Rufty really is a one of a kind bloke, and anything we can do to get him back fighting fit and smiling ear to ear is priceless beyond all belief.
Cheers,
Liam Carroll
