Norton

A few weeks ago, my best friend drove 13 hours to Ohio with a coworker to bring 30 rescue puppies back to NYC. She fell in love with one that was already on his way to a foster family. She put herself on the list to be a candidate to adopt if the foster family chose not to. A week later she got the news she could bring him home! The foster family said they had brought him to the vet for a cough but that it was fine...within a day of having him my friend knew it wasn't so she brought him in herself. Fast forward to today- July 18- he is at the emergency vet post-x-rays showing fluid in his lungs and another spot that is most likely blood. Norton is a 1-year-old mix and such a sweet boy. My best friend is the most loving human on the planet and Norton is the first dog she has taken into her home. It breaks my heart to see her going through this. As any dog parent would know having a healthy puppy is hard enough, and I can't imagine having one be sick with his life at risk within the first week. I want to help at least take the financial stress off of her and her fiance as they go through this. Any support is greatly appreciated, and any funds exceeding the emergency bill will go to the rescue foundation Norton came from!
