100 Day Winter Challenge for Charity
Donation protected
I am doing a 100 day challenge starting on the 05/01/22 ending on 14/04/22.
I will be in the water every single day rain, snow and ice whatever the winter weather throws at me! I have never swam through a winter before so it's going to be exciting and challenging.
I have chosen two charities to help Alzheimer's Research UK and Loch Lomond Rescue Boat.
Wild swimming / cold water immersion has been proven to help all sorts of things like mental health, wellbeing and Alzheimer's which runs in my family. That's was one of the reasons that l started doing it daily.
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat is also special as l swim weekdays in the Loch and they sadly have such a busy time rescuing people from the Loch. They are trying to raise funds to relocate from Luss down to Balloch. The increased traffic on the A82 is having a detrimental effect on rescue times as the volunteers are getting caught up in the traffic. Balloch will be easier for them to get to and in turn gets the rescue boat into the water faster.
I hope you can give me a donation to help these two fantastic charities. The money will be split evenly between both of them.
Every £1 counts so please donate and share my post to get it out there. Thanks in advance to all who donate.
I will keep everyone up to date with my daily swims.
