100 mile ruck

Every year members of the Ackerman and Galante family each ruck 100 miles in September to raise awareness for military/veterans services. This year we are rucking 100 miles for the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation to help support their Gold Star Families. Their mission is to provide deliberate reoccurring programs and appropriate immediate/emergent assistance to their teammates and their families. Perpetuate the history, lineage and traditions of the Reconnaissance community.

We ruck to honor all of our fallen heroes, but specifically for Master Sergeant John Hayes who was killed in action on July 8, 2009 by a suspected pressure plate IED in Afghanistan after serving multiple tours overseas. All proceeds go directly to the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation.
