Sally’s story….

Sally was Diagnosed with ocular melanoma (cancer of the eye) in March 2019 which she bravely fought off by having her eye removed. They then had a few cancer free years before they had the dreaded news in August 2022 that is had gone to metastasis form and spread to her liver.

Sally was undergoing weekly treatment travelling to liverpool every week for a year up until august 2023 when they unfortunately found out the growths on her liver had grown. As such the funding behind her existing treatment was pulled.

Now although she is undertaking other treatment to help, it is only 5-10% successful. The biggest chance Sally has of extending the time she has with her family is to raise 120k for chemo saturation, which isolates the liver blood circulation from the bloodstream to deliver a highly concentrated dose of an anti-cancer drug (Melphalan). The minimum 3 treatments at 40k per treatment which has a 90% success rate.

treatment which is 90% successful. Hence the requirement for dramatically quick fundraising.

I will be doing 100 sit ups a day in March to raise money for Sally to help her get this treatment she deserves.
