100 Voices - Wish You Were Here.

Hello
I hope you’re staying safe and are well.
As we experience increased social restrictions and lockdowns, myself, Ted Hunter, Tim Poolan and Arron Walton decided to recorded the bed tracks for a lockdown version of Pink Floyds ‘Wish You Were Here’. The song has an obvious poignancy during these isolated times.
After initial discussions regarding the purpose of the track we decided to make it slightly different to other lockdown recordings.
We decided on fund raising and to have as many musicians singing vocals on the track as possible. Our idea was based on a number of thoughts;
Initially it was to raise awareness of the crisis facing musicians and crews in the lockdowns,
Also the serious effect its having on everyone’s mental health and most importantly, those people who have been lost during the pandemic.
Those most affected by the pandemic and finally,
Those we need to thank the most.
We wanted this recording to have as much gravitas as we felt the message carried so we decided on the magical number of 100 vocalists. We eventually received 113 individual vocal tracks to use in the song. After a huge audio editing process and video production we are finally finished. The final video has a roll call of people we have lost and those we Wished Were Here with some of the musicians holding up names of those loved ones.
We hope with this release we can generate donations to the four charities we would like to benefit from the track,
Help musicians U.K. (musicians benevolent fund)
Mind U.K. (mental health charity)
Age U.K. (help the aged)
NHS National Health Service
If you have listened to the track, we would be grateful if you could please donate any amount you can to this fund. All the proceeds generated by this project will be split evenly four ways (25%) to the four charities.
Thanks Ted, Tim, Dave and Arron.
