Hello Friends and Family,
COVID-19 sucks.
Despite that, I feel incredibly lucky that I can have food to eat whenever I’m hungry. However, some families and individuals face a more stark reality. Right now, there are hard-working families who are trying to make the most of an empty fridge - or quietly going to bed hungry because they can’t afford food. For those who are experiencing a loss of income due to the crisis, finding a warm meal is a burden no one should ever have to endure.
So I started this fundraiser because almost overnight, the concept of 'us' transformed from individual gatherings to a collective effort.
My goal is to raise $2,500 which will provide up to 25,000 warm meals to children, families, and seniors. The efforts of the Greater Chicago Food Depository and its parent company, Feeding America, keep 40 million families fed every year. And since we've all been affected by this pandemic, let's help those who've been affected the most.
I miss having meals with you all. But I challenge you to come together immediately. Will you help provide healthy meals to those families in need?
