Cycling 10,000km for $10,000 for amputees in need
I'm Elliott Fery, a 22-year-old student from Brisbane, Australia, and I'm about to embark on a journey called "The Road East." Starting from Normandy, France, in mid March, I'll be cycling all the way to China, tracing the ancient Silk Road route through the Adriatic coast, Türkiye, and beyond in Central Asia.
I'm not just doing it for the thrill of the ride. I'm cycling with a purpose – to raise funds for Limbs 4 Life, an incredible Australian charity that supports amputees and their families.
My goal is simple: 10,000 kilometres for $10,000 AUD. That's right, every kilometre I pedal is dedicated to raising $1 for Limbs 4 Life. With your support, we can make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
Whether it's providing prosthetics, support services, or spreading awareness about the challenges faced by amputees, every dollar raised will go towards helping individuals experience the freedom and joy of exploring the great outdoors, just like I'll be doing on my journey.
So, why am I doing this? Because I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest, regardless of physical limitations. And by joining me on this adventure – whether through a donation or simply by spreading the word – you'll be helping to make that a reality.
Thank you for your support.
