DO SOMETHING AMAZING TODAY - DONATE!
POWER CHANGES LIVES is a (501)(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in low-income, minority and underserved communities in the areas of Health, Education, Food Insecurity, Homelessness Prevention and Social Justice and Reform.
We've launched $100,000 in 100 days to raise money ensuring programs have the impact on lives for those who desperately need it. As a donor, you will become part of the POWER FAMILY's "Wall of Heroes" proudly displayed on our website. Major donors of $25,000 or more will have a dedicated page in honor of their family member or their own personal mission to help in our focus areas. ALL DONATIONS MATTER and together create change.
Our initiatives for 2021:
iPlay®: Providing FREE instruments and music instruction to over 200 low-income, minority and underserved K-12 students throughout the United States. Instructors include local high school, Berklee College of Music, and Denmark University students with mastery skills in clarinet, drums, flute, piano, saxophone stringed guitar and violin. Without iPlay these students would never have been introduced to an instrument and develop a love of the Arts.
Project Feed® : Over 5,000 food boxes distributed through "pop-up drive thru food box drives" to those who are food insecure. Boxes include meats, diary and dry goods. To see Project F.E.E.D. in action watch this video .
Senior Connect® : Reducing the impact of COVID-19 related deaths in senior populations. Senior Connect provides FREE Kindle Fire tablets to those 65+ years programmed with lifesaving technology such as TeleHealth software connecting to doctors for chronic and emergency care management without having to leave the home. Other software includes grocery shopping, pharmacy/medication delivery and wellness checks with family and community resources.
The Crimson Project ®: Removing the "red stain" or blemish for minor offenses on criminal records that are barriers to employment for those in low-income, minority and underserved communities. The inability to secure meaningful employment has a domino effect -- higher crime rates, higher food insecurity, higher mental health. Lawyers donate their time at Expungement Clinic to review client cases and prepare the necessary paperwork through the legal system to expunge minor offenses.
When you donate, feel free to tell YOUR STORY of why you chose to be a POWER partner.
