100KM Run for the Royal Canadian Legion (2023)
Post-Race Update: The race is done! The course ended up being a little longer than 100km, but I got to the finish line in a little under 20 hours. The support in the lead-up, during, and after the race has been phenomenal. Thank you all so much.

To me, military service has always represented a commitment to something greater. It represents the belief that there are things in our world — family, friends, community, and ways of life — that matter more than oneself, and that therefore must be defended. The brave Canadians who leave the comfort of home to protect our country live this belief every single day, and their effort should not and cannot go unnoticed or unappreciated.
My name is Gavin Pratt, I'm a 17-year-old Grade 12 student at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic High School, and I am going to be running a 100-kilometre ultramarathon race this year on November 11th to raise money for Essex County's Branch 594 of the Royal Canadian Legion. The Legion is Canada's largest veteran support and community service organization, helping thousands of military and RCMP veterans and their families every year. I hope you'll join me in supporting this important and worthwhile cause.
