101 yo woman needs money to stay in nursing home
Donation protected
Thanks for taking the time to read this. My 101 year old sister is in crisis. Phyllis Robson’s health is very fragile and she will run out of her money and have to leave her private assisted living home at the end of December. Quite frankly, I’m worried the stress of the move will kill her. She has done well on her own but never expected to live to 101! That’s why I’m reaching out to see if anyone has the means to donate money (big or small) toward her home and/or to help spread the word so she has the means to pass peacefully in the place where she feels safe and at home.
Phyllis is residing at Paradise Shores in Orillia, Ontario. The personalized care and individual attention she receives makes her feel loved and cared for. It is my greatest wish for her to be able to maintain this sense of security until she passes. The staff is extraordinary, genuinely loves Phyllis, and are heartbroken at the thoughts of her moving as well. As a very small private business with only 6 patients, they have gone above and beyond for her.
Her income is $2000 short of the funds needed per month to stay there.
She is a wonderful kind spirit who rarely complains and I think this spirit is what keeps her going despite her health. At 80 pounds, she is very frail and has not been able to walk independently for years plus she is deaf and has a myriad of age related conditions. Her health has been deteriorating quickly over the past few months.
It breaks my heart to think of her having to go through the major upheaval of a move and likely passing away due to the stress instead of peacefully at her current home.
A bit of background on myself and my sister, Phyllis Robson. My name is Gwen Rawlinson and Phyllis and I are the only 2 remaining of 10 of our siblings. I am 82 years old and the youngest of our family. We were raised on a farm in Oro-Medente (Northern Ontario Canada). Phyllis was the 2nd oldest sibling and she helped raise the younger siblings, including myself and my twin sister. Phyllis’ husband, daughter and grandson have predeceased her.
I know times are tough, but if you have the means and/or if you could please spread the word, these donations will provide this lovely soul with peace, grace and security in her last days. Thanks so much for your time and attention.
