101 Pit Bulls Fundraiser
Donation protected
The Richmond Pit Bull Project is a self-published book highlighting 101 Pit Bulls living in the Greater Richmond Area. The book will also profile small local businesses and feature Richmond landmarks. This project is about providing an understanding of what the commonly used term, “pit bull” means in the eyes of owners, trainers, haters, heroes and most importantly, Richmond, Va. Proceeds from the book will go to local rescue group, Ring Dog Rescue.
While we know that the term “Pit Bull” is used as a blanket term for dogs who share characteristics with the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, etc. for this project, we are using the term pit bull to include any pit bull type dog and not specifically one breed.
Dear Sponsor,
First and foremost, thank you for your consideration in becoming a Sponsor. My name is Kelley Blanchard, Founder of the Richmond Pit Bull Project. I started this project because I love my own two bully breeds and I wanted to do something that brought the pit bull community together, to show this love. I thought, how hard could it be to get high quality photographs of 101 dogs around Richmond? I reached out to my friends at Ring Dog Rescue and along with their help and the support of the community, we have photographed 101 Pit Bulls and are ready to print!
As a sponsor, you will not only ensure the success of this project…you will become part of our ongoing efforts to exhibit the culture of our community and raise money for one of our very special rescue groups in Richmond, Ring Dog Rescue.
Right now, is the time, more than ever to unite and stand up for the population of dogs that suffers the most from discrimination all over the US. We are lucky to live in a pit bull friendly city, unlike cities in Michigan and Colorado, where pit bulls are banned. Even where this bullied dog is not banned, there are restrictions on where they can live, shelters are over flowing and hundreds of these dogs are being euthanized every day.
Please donate what you can. Every dollar adds up.
If you donate $100 or more you will be mailed a free copy of the book!
Sincerely,
Kelley Blanchard
