102 Veteran hit with killer gas bill

Hi, my name is Jim and I'm trying to raise funds for my 102 year old step-grandfather who is a triple decorated war veteran who served during WWII in 3 theaters (Italy, Sicily & N. Africa). He married my biological grandmother who was a widow with 3 children whom he adopted and brought to America.

While he has a fair pension from working with Southern Pacific Railroad & Social Security he now is faced with skyrocketing gas bills on top of his 24/7 caregiver expenses + increasing food costs etc- all of which has wiped out his savings. He does not which to complain but doesn't know what to do. My wife and I are getting a loan to assist him but we are both seniors with our own skyrocketing expenses. In addition to not having money to pay his bills he is also now faced with the fact that he cannot provide some financial assistance to 1 of his grandsons who is a homeless veteran suffering from mental illness
