"THETA 105" Fundraising Campaign
April 21, 2022, is the 105th Anniversary of our Beloved, the Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. To honor our rich heritage the Theta Alumni Association is launching a campaign to have 105 Theta Brothers contribute to the Theta Alumni Association. The Theta Alumni Association is a 501(c)3 not for profit charitable organization.
Brothers, we have an opportunity to Make a Difference, like no other fraternal organization can at Northwestern University, because the Theta Chapter is the standard at NU. We have created The Clinton Bristow Jr. Achievement Award (CBJAA) which will set a new benchmark on giving back to the African American students. Each year the Theta Alumni Association will award outstanding African American Students with funds to supplement their NU Scholarships. The difference is this award will directly support students needing additional funds to be successful.
All Scholarship money at Northwestern, is factored into each student’s tuition, room, and board costs, so the award will be a supplement that is not factored into that equation. Most African American students struggle today with making ends meet for their additional expenses. Success for students of color is met with many challenges, and TAA will be a Beacon of Light drawing positive attention to the Theta Chapter.
Brothers you are part of the solution to create a difference for students of color at Northwestern University. Last year with your help we were able to help three dynamic students, at Northwestern University, with an award of $1917 each. For the 105th Anniversary of the Theta Chapter, we are asking 105 Theta Nupes to contribute to TAA. Three tiers of contribution are outlined below, so that we can surpass last year’s giving.
Diamond Level Contribution- $2500
Constitutes your Lifetime Kommitment and acknowledgement with annual recognition every year, during the Award Presentations, full lifetime TAA voting privileges, and TAA Diamond Lapel Pin.
Krimson Level Contribution- $250
Constitutes your Annual Kommitment acknowledgement with recognition at the Award Presentation in the academic year and full fiscal year TAA voting privileges.
Kream Level Contribution- up to $100
Constitutes your name listed as TAA Contributor.
75 percent of all monies received are directly set aside for the Awards (25% is used to award outstanding students each year (CBJAA) & 50% goes to a future growth fund for awards). The remaining 25% will be used to operate the Theta Alumni Association (TAA) organization.
