Harper’s walk 114 mile trek

Hi my name is Dean, with my team kedington fitness we are raising money for a couple of causes close to my heart.

My daughter Harper in 2018 her life changed forever. While on a family holiday she contracted E-coli and a secondary infection which effected her kidneys and bowl.

So in May 2023 my team will embark on a walk from Nottingham hospital to my daughters home town (114 miles) . A route that my family have completed back and forth for surgery and care. We are hoping to raise funds for the hospital which saved her life and continues to treat and support her, also our local diabetes clinic at WSH as due to the infection my daughter is now Type1 so needs care and support for this. Along with the funds raised we are hoping to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes and also for kidney donors. As my own sister donated a kidney for my daughter, this means she doesn’t have to have home dialysis and can live a relatively normal life.
