Testimonials
All of you associated with ISKCON have dedicated full energy and creativity in taking these eternal values of the Bhagavad Gita to the world or in popularizing the spirit of devotion. ISKCON through its various chapters has done yeoman service to humanity. Gita is a symbol of the devotion and dedication of the followers of Lord Sri Krishna and Prabhupada. You are all praiseworthy for this commendable endeavor. This will further increase the interest of the world in the ancient and divine knowledge of India. - Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India
ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada has contributed immensely to the world by spreading the spiritual teachings of India the world over. He is truly a great ambassador of ancient Indian Heritage. - His Holiness Dalai Lama
I very much welcome events such as this, which will help us all to celebrate the values and benefits of diversity… but also show the positive expression of the belief that is characteristic of the Krishna consciousness movement. - Tony Blair Former Prime Minister, United Kingdom
“I liked Prabhupada's humbleness. I always liked his humility and his simplicity... I think Prabhupada's accomplishments are very significant; they're huge. Even compared to someone like William Shakespeare, the amount of literature Prabhupada produced is truly amazing. It boggles the mind. He sometimes went for days with only a few hours of sleep.” - GEORGE HARRISON, LEGENDARY BEATLES SINGER
Swami Prabhupada’s greatest legacy was that he was an exemplary ambassador of India’s timeless values. Swami Prabhupada convinced hundreds of thousands of Indians and westerners about the profound value of his philosophy which they embraced along with a Vedic lifestyle. Throughout his mission, Swami Prabhupada remained faithful to the guidance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who had revitalized the Bhakti-yoga tradition in the 15th Century. - Pranab Mukherjee Hon’ble President of India
I am delighted to send my best wishes to everyone at Bhaktivedanta Manor in what is a very special year for all those associated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). For fifty years since its foundation by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the men and women behind ISKCON have dedicated their lives to the words of Lord Krishna to achieve peace and unity. ISKCON can be proud that in that time it has grown the world over, setting up over 500 centers and 50 schools. THERESA MAY - UK FORMER PRIME MINISTER
“If it was not for the compassion of His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, I would have never achieved this supreme treasure of Krishna’s holy names. It was this compassion that drove Srila Prabhupada to attempt so brave and so daring, to deliver the message of Lord Chaitanya and the holy name to all of mankind. We get a glimpse of how Srila Prabhupada felt for all of us. - TULSI GABBARD, US CONGRESSWOMAN
Former Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs recounted in his famous 2005 commencement speech to Stanford University how he relied on ISKCON temples to feed himself: “I didn’t have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends’ rooms. I would walk seven miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it.”
