10k by the end of May for Rio

The team at Deep Beauty have teamed up with Forbes Solicitors to raise money for a very special little boy called Rio who was diagnosed with a rare, stage 4 type of kidney cancer (Wilms Tumour) in 2022 at just aged 3.

Rio has undergone months of intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital plus surgery to remove his right kidney & primary tumour.

Sadly, Rio's cancer was diagnosed as High Risk and Anaplastic (only 5-8% of all Wilms tumours fall into this category). This means Rio's cells can be resistant to chemotherapy, making it much harder to cure and more likely to come back if he is cancer free after his initial course of treatment.

The High Risk and Anaplastic features of Rio's diagnosis make his chance of relapse high. Rio's incredible parents could find themselves in a position where they need to access clinical trials overseas to try and save Rio's life. Such treatment abroad is costly and so we want to raise as much money as possible by tackling several walks of varying difficulty totalling approximately 10,000ft of accent with the ultimate goal of raising £10,000!
