Mike’s 10km run wearing full cricket kit

IN ORDER TO RAISE FUNDS TOWARDS A NEW DEFIBRILLATOR IN THE VILLAGE AT SOUTHOWRAM CRICKET CLUB, I WILL BE RUNNING 10KMs ON SATURDAY 30TH MAY 2020,  WHILST DRESSED IN FULL CRICKET KIT (including gloves, pads, helmet etc).

In these unprecedented times, there is much talk with regards to Premier League football clubs and high profile events. However, there is a lot less attention on local sports clubs and facilities who are suffering too.

The cricket club which I play for, Southowram CC, near to Halifax, West Yorkshire, will not be playing any fixtures in May, probably not in June, and highly unlikely in the foreseeable future. With no income over the bar or from match fees, times are hard, and bills such as rates and council taxes still need paying- making other essentials difficult to obtain.

I wish to ease the burden by looking to raise a minimum of £250 for the club, which will go towards a new defibrillator. This will benefit the whole community and not just the cricket club. In order to do this, I am hoping for generous sponsorship as I run a 10km event dressed in my full cricket equipment. 

Any donations, however small, will be very much appreciated.
