11-Year Old Tragically Killed in Charlotte, NC
Donation protected
On Thursday, December 5, 2019, a young eleven-year-old child was tragically killed as he was hit by a car in Charlotte, N.C.
On the night of the incident, Romello had been given permission by his mother to attend his middle school's basketball game with his older brother who also happened to turn 14 years old the same night that his younger brother was killed. Romello's older brother was an eyewitness to his brother being killed by the car that hit him.
Romello Wilcox is the third child of Briea Curry who is a hardworking, single mom who has been left heartbroken and devastated after finding out that her beloved son succumbed to his injuries sustained during this accident.
"Mello," as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a sixth-grader at McClintock Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He LOVED his siblings, music, dancing, and his mother's cooking. Romello was one of the sweetest young men that you would ever meet. Had he lived, he would have turned 12 years old on his birthday in January 2020. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and knew him.

We are raising this money to help defray the following expenditures:
1) Romello's funeral and burial
2) Romello's hospital bills
3) Extensive counseling and therapy for Briea, her son who witnessed his brother's death and who also turned 14 the same day that his brother was killed, and her remaining two children.
4) Funding to help provide a financial cushion for the family after Romello has been laid to rest.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to Briea's family and their needs. Thank you for listening and for your prayers and financial contributions.
Please keep this family in your prayers.
Sincerely,
