My parents-in-law and family were victims of a traumatic home invasion where an 11-year-old girl was forced to wait inside the bathroom of the home while the robbers scoured the home, stealing money, generations worth of jewelry, and camera equipment, which was a hobby of my 68-year-old father-in-law. My family and neighbors are all devastated with the tremendous loss, but thankful that no one got hurt. However, still scared that these robbers are still out there.
Earlier in the day, my parents-in-law were at the cemetery to pay respect for our passed loved ones when my father-in-law's car window was smashed and tires were slashed. We thought it was a hate crime and reported it to the Colma police. They didn't notice the robbers stole their garage door remote and took down their home address. Just a few hours later we found out that their home was broken into while the 11-year-old girl was inside attending class via Zoom. The 11-year-old girl is okay, and our family is remaining strong.
This gofundme is set up to support the recovery of the victims of this heinous crime. The funds will be given to the families of the 11-year-old victim and Mr. K (my parents-in-law) to pay for a new security system, to cover any expenses they will incur due to the robbery, and to recoup some of the loss. But most importantly, it will allow them to feel the love and support from their community.
We thank you for your support. Please be safe out there!
If you can please help us spread the word so that your loved ones can watch out and be safe.
Anyone with information is asked to Text a Tip to TIP411 SFPD and begin the text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous. The SFPD 24-hour Tip Line is listed in the article link above.
