12 Bones Service Staff

If you’ve ever eaten at 12 Bones or grabbed a beer at 12 Bones Brewing, you know that the amazing, friendly staff is the “secret sauce” that makes this place so special. 12 Bones would not be who they are without the amazing family of folks who are its very life and soul.
You can enjoy great beer + BBQ from a hundred different places in this region...but the wonderful customers + loyal regulars keep coming back because of the great people who keep this operation flowing.
In this unprecedented time of uncertainty, 12 Bones & 12 Bones Brewing is faced with the impossible decision of possibly closing their doors and temporarily laying off staff due to the inability to keep up with the cost of staying open for Take Out & curbside orders. As you can imagine, it takes a tremendous amount to keep operations going. (A small indication of that expense is that the target goal for this fundraiser would roughly cover less than a week of payroll for all of the employees.) I wanted to try to do something to help keep the doors open for ToGo and curbside orders, even with employees cutting their hours and pay.
There is SO MUCH that 12 Bones does in striving to give back to this great community. In fact, even as I type this right now...the staff is developing their game plan on donating their own time and resources to feeding the community through Welcome Table at Haywood Street Congregation this weekend (as they do every year). Just this morning, they scrambled to coordinate and feed the healthcare workers on the front lines of the local COVID-19 testing sites. At a time when the staff may be losing their own jobs, they’re working around the clock to plan the logistics of giving to others.
If you’ve EVER enjoyed a great meal or shared a lovely experience while visiting 12 Bones / 12 Bones Brewing, PLEASE consider donating even a small amount.
Even $5 from just a fraction of folks that 12 Bones has brought joy to over the past 15 years can add up and make a tremendous difference.
I’m not an employee of 12 Bones, but I am someone who gets a very personal and inside look at the tremendous things this impressive group of humans accomplishes on a regular basis.
My sister Angela and her husband Bryan are the owners, and I moved my family here two years ago to try and assist with operations and expansion. Witnessing the sheer turmoil and distress they’ve personally gone through in this current crisis and how hard they’ve been working (trying to do everything they can for their employees) has been utter heartbreak.
I’ve been honored and humbled to be a very small point of support for 12 Bones, and in that process this entire crew has become my family. I’m humbled and constantly grateful to know this team, and I’d do anything in my power to lift them up.
100% of donations will go directly to employees of 12 Bones & 12 Bones Brewing in an effort to keep the doors open and continue with Curbside and ToGo services at both restaurants and the taproom.
I know it’s a lot to ask when many of you, yourselves, are facing uncertainty and instability. Know that even your words of love and support have meant so much. ANYTHING you give is greatly appreciated, and know that you’re support means the world to this family! ❤️
Together we will make it through this! #AshevilleStrong
