12 year old Toriano Jamison hit & run victim

 
 
 
 



Hi everyone. My name is Shonetta Jamison and I’ve made this GoFundMe on behalf of my beloved son, Toriano Jamison.




August 3rd, 2020 started off as a typical day but ended as one of the worst days of my life as a parent. Toriano (12y), his younger brother Max Copeland (6 y), and his friend Troy Russell (9y) had a scheduled play date and were riding their bikes together on their usual route. While they stood besides their bikes Toriano and Troy were hit by SHANNON PALMER. 




SHANNON PALMER mauled these boys with her SUV and left the scene. The impact of the hit thrusted the young boys 10ft into the woods! Toriano’s younger brother Max, miraculously unharmed, was able to run to the neighbor’s house and get help. 




Both boys were rushed to Stony Brook hospital with serious injuries. My son needed emergency surgery upon arrival to Stony Brook. He was treated for deep abdominal gashes, found to have a concussion and multiple fractures on both hip bones. He has kidney, lung and colon damage as a result. Along with the physical damage, my son is going through a tremendous amount mentally. 




He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. I’m doing my best to be strong for my son but it kills me knowing there is a possibility he may never walk again. I just want him to be healthy and happy again. 




No amount of money can undo this ordeal my son has to go through, but I want to do everything in my power to give Toriano the best shot of returning to normalcy. His hospital bills are extensive and his journey to recovery has just begun. My family and I appreciate anything you can donate to lift any financial and healthcare burdens we are dealing with.
