12Hr Cycle For Cathail
Donation protected
Cathail is one of our youngest members at the Rock GAA Club. Having just turned four, he lists kickboxing, construction, demolition, Spiderman trivia, climbing trees, witty comebacks and football among his many talents. He tells us he’s going to help us win our first Club All-Ireland, which we are very much looking forward to, but first, Cathail must face an even bigger challenge.
In June 23rd of this year, Cathail was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and started Chemotherapy the following day. This marks the beginning of a treatment programme that will span several years for Cathail and his family, with weekly trips to Crumlin Children’s Hospital and Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
The Dooley family has a long history of playing football for The Rock, and the Club would like to show our support in the best way that we can.
On Saturday, July 24th, we will be taking part in a 12-hour cycle involving a number of spin bikes outside SuperValu in Mountmellick. Running from 8am until 8pm, we would very much appreciate your support, big or small.
We, as a Club, are organising this fundraiser, to provide financial assistance to the family so they can focus on Cathail’s recovery. Caring for Cathail and their three other small children means that neither parent can work, so we want to do everything we can to take the pressure off them.
Let’s show our support for Cathail and his family. See you on the 24th.
