Hello fans!

These boys are the Ripken 12u Flood City team. The team consists of a talented group of boys chosen as the all stars from our local Ripken league. These boys have been working hard competing as that team the last 2 months. As we know in the baseball world the 12 year old year can be a big deal! They have earned both their DISTRICT and PA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES during this journey.
This past week they traveled 7 1/2 hours to Queensbury, NY to compete in the Mid Atlantic regional tournament. This was over the course of 5 days. They were on top for bracket play and semis. The fell slightly short by 2 in the Championship game but did earn the Mid Atlantic Regions Runner-up! This too is a huge accomplishment!
The team who won declined the opportunity to continue on which allowed our team the chance to continue to the world series. The boys had their hearts set on this goal and thrilled that the opportunity opened back up. We too are ready to give them this once in a lifetime opportunity to play in the Ripken World Series.
The boys truly deserve to go with an outstanding 13-2 record thus far in the journey. This team truly loves the game and we will 100% support those dreams to continue on in this experience. With that, our team and their families will be heading to Ballparks of America in Branson, Missouri at the beginning of August.
This of course will be a huge travel expense in a short amount of time. We will travel one way about 900 miles and be gone close to 2 weeks. This means most families will be missing work again as well. Our goal, with your help, is to minimize any further financial burden on the boys families and still be able to give them this amazing opportunity!
The donations will be split between the boys families to help cover the travel costs, lodging, team meals, and all other expenses. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we can not thank you all enough! We could not make this possible without your help and support so far and through it all!
