My 12-Year-Old Cousin, Shooting Victim - Pakistan

Hello, my name is Nameer. Today, I am reaching out to you during one of the most challenging times my family has ever faced. In a heartbreaking incident in Karachi, Pakistan, my aunt and 12-year-old cousin were gravely injured. They were driving home from my grandmother's house when two individuals on a motorcycle approached them. Without a moment's hesitation, these strangers shot at them. The bullet struck my aunt in the shoulder, passing through and hitting my cousin in the head, specifically her parietal bone. My aunt, despite being injured by a gunshot herself and surrounded by bystanders who offered no assistance, managed to drive her to the nearest hospital. This sudden and senseless act of violence has left us all in shock and despair.

Currently, my cousin is unconscious, and doctors have told us that there is a critical window for her to be stabilized. Her condition is extremely critical, and her chances of survival are uncertain as she remains unconscious and cannot undergo surgery until her condition stabilizes. My aunt, too, is facing a challenging road to recovery due to her injuries.

In this moment of unspeakable pain, we are doing everything we can to support them both through their recovery. However, the medical expenses can turn out to be overwhelming in these situations, and the financial strain can get quite stressful for them.
